Isotoma acted as a one-stop shop when getting our Plone powered website up and running in record time. Aptus now enjoys an easy-to-use web content management system that helps get our message out to our clients.

MindShare
Multinational media company relaunches website
MindShare is a global media network and as part of GroupM, is responsible for placing one third of all advertising worldwide. MindShare’s aim is to make their clients' brands more famous and more profitable. With nearly 6,000 people working in 67 countries and 97 cities, they have a significant presence in every major market. MindShare is at the cutting edge of its industry and as such needs an online presence to convey this.
MindShare wanted an innovative website that would demonstrate their strategic knowledge and understanding of the digital media landscape, such as the web and how it can be used to deliver customer success.
The site uses a pure XML content management system that Isotoma has built in house. You can read more by downloading the case study (PDF).
Forkd
Interactive food site - ready to serve!
Forkd is a recipe site with strong community features. At its simplest it lets people easily find recipes, and create a searchable online recipe book for themselves. But it will also foster relationships with other users, allowing people to share their recipes, ideas and enthusiasm. It is designed to tap into the universal desire to build up an online reputation, and support rather than replace any existing investment into your online reputation. Its unique "forking" model makes visible a recipe's evolution and patterns of influence.

O2
New O2 customer support forums for iPhone launch
Isotoma has created an online customer forum for O2UK. These will allow users of O2 products to share information, advice and tips, and to offer help and guidance to other users.
The customer support forum went live with the launch of the iPhone, which is exclusive to the O2 network. The online forums represent an innovative and effective way of making the most of the extensive functionality of the iPhone and indeed, of all of O2's products and services.
Nokia Community Involvement Extranet
Connecting Communities
We can't say much about this one as it's an internal project, unfortunately. Working with Forster we've migrated a pure Zope application to use Plone, allowing Nokia's Community Involvement teams more flexibility in managing the content of their extranet, used to bring together the Community Involvement teams from around the globe. The site hosts an active community of 80 users from around the world, sharing information about Community Involvement projects in Nokia's many markets.

InternetRetailing.net is one of the leading trade publications for the etailer community, and we're proud to have developed the latest version of the site. Using Plone and OpenAds as the underlying technology we're excited to have such an active site as part of our portfolio.
Using Plone
Blue Latitude
Relaunch of consultancy website
We're very proud to have helped old friends Blue Latitude redevelop their corporate web site. Using Plone we've enabled their staff to have much more control over their web presence, making the site much easier to manage, as well as refreshing its look.
Using Plone
Forster
New website for ethical marketing company
Using the power of communications to deliver positive social and environmental change, Forster needed a dynamic website to demonstrate what they are all about - understanding, engaging and building relationships with a wide range of audiences.
Forster has designed and delivered successful social marketing campaigns on a range of issues, including mental health, breastfeeding, alcohol and drug use, sustainable transport and recycling.
Isotoma delivered a highly customised Plone site, adding a suite of rich features over Plone's robust and intuitive content management capabilities.
Using Plone
STA Travel
Australian Maps Mashup with a purpose
Map My Adventure is a huge Google Maps mashup that we've built for STA Travel.
The purpose of the site is allow travellers to Australia to plan their trip before going, and blog about it while they're there (through other STA applications). Users can access pins provided by STA, add their own for others to see (or keep them private) and bookmark other people's pins within their own area.
The front end is a pure Javascript application, with some 3,000 lines of our own code on top of the Mochikit base library. At the back it's our largest Turbogears implementation to date, and makes use of Doug's TGNewTraversal.
We're already in discussions about rolling this out across other territories too, so expect to see some more versions coming very soon.
Using Turbogears and Javascript
Sleevenotez
Music metadata aggregator
Sleevenotez is a music metadata aggregator. It allows users of the site to search across multiple sources for information about their favourite artists. Specifically it harnesses the power of User Generated Content to create rapidly changing and always up to date pages relating to any artist that has released a record (and quite a few that haven't).
It makes heavy use of a whole host of public APIs. On any given page it is likely that the application is retrieving information from:
All this data is pulled asynchronously through a series of Javascript widgets to populate the page. If you're listening to music and a Last.fm user then the site will plug into your 'currently playing' list and change the information on display as and when the track changes.
It's a fascinating concept that we see has much broader uses than the current music application. So much so we've given the underlying platform a name (Zythe) and are actively seeking domain experts to help us build similar applications across other areas (we're thinking books, film, travel, finance; that kind of thing).
We're also very pleased to have had some very interesting and well thought through reviews across the Internet:
- "...The shape of things to come. Not CRM, but metadata powered Media Relationship Management." - Stephen Johnson, Nokia
- "...One of the best ways to learn more about the artists that perform our favourite music" - Paul Lamere Sun Labs
- "...It's a little like Pandora on acid" - Mike Butcher, Vecosys
There are a whole host of screenshots from different people over at Flickr, but the best thing to do is sign up and have a play.
Using Twisted
eModeration

It's nice to have our first Yorkshire based customer since our move here as well.

Greyworld
Software support for creation

Isotoma provided technology support to help with a number of issues, and are now working with Greyworld on new versions of the code that help keep this remarkable sculpture running.
Business Link Kent
An integrated strategic platform for business support
Isotoma have provided a range of web tools to support Business Link Kent's business support mission. Included are a Business Directory that is integrated with their CRM system and a centralised Contact Register to handle online customer profiling, along with common login across a selection of websites.
We are now working with them to build on the success of the first version of the tools. As well as facility enhancements, the work includes the development of an integrated email campaign management system and a CRM integration system that will manage data flows between all of their web properties and their CRM.
We will be using Plone and Twisted to provide core parts of this architecture, along with RESTful interfaces on all components, and data transfer via Microformat techniques. This is a sophisticated system and we are particularly excited about the way it leverages the power of a range of advanced web techniques and tools. Watch this space for news of developments.
Business Link Suffolk
Business directory
We are pleased to announce that we have just put live our second business directory implementation; this time for Business Link Suffolk. Leveraging the work already done with Business Link Kent this Plone 2.1 based solution is now live, with a user base expected to grow rapidly over the next few weeks.

Aptus Solutions
Supporting a customer's in-house experts
Sometimes what you really need is a web site up, running and in the hands of the content owners with the minimum of fuss. Isotoma provided on the ground support for Aptus Solution's own development of a Plone site, using their in-house expertise. We provided advice on technology and deployment, with development of custom content types and some of the more difficult customisation, while Aptus used their skills to produce the information architecture and to marshal the content.
