The purpose of this policy is to explain how we, Isotoma, process, handle and protect your personal information while you browse or use this website.

Terms we use

  • "I", "our", "us" and "we" refer to Isotoma Limited. Our company details are in the footer of every page.
  • "You" and "the user" refer to the person using this website.
  • "UK GDPR" means the General Data Protection Regulation as retained in UK law, alongside the Data Protection Act 2018.
  • "PECR" means the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations.
  • "ICO" means the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's independent authority for data protection.

How we process your personal data

This is a static website with no advertising and no cross-site tracking, so we do not collect personal information about you as you browse. We do not build a profile of you, and we have nothing to sell or share.

We do count visits, using GoatCounter, so we know which pages are worth keeping. It records the page you looked at, the site that linked you here, your browser and operating system, your language and screen width, and the country your connection comes from. It does not store your IP address, your full browser identifier, or any tracking identifier, and it sets nothing at all in your browser. To tell a repeat view from a new one it keeps a randomised string in memory for up to eight hours, and never writes it to a database. GoatCounter holds this data on servers in Germany and Finland. Because none of it identifies you, we rely on our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used, and we do not need to ask for your consent.

Our site is served by a third-party hosting provider, which keeps standard technical logs (such as IP addresses) for the short time needed to deliver the site and keep it secure. We do not use those logs to identify you.

If you email us, call us, or send a message using the contact form, we use the details you give us (your name, email address, and message) only to respond to and manage your enquiry. Our lawful basis for this is our legitimate interest in replying to people who get in touch. We keep that correspondence no longer than we need it, and we do not share your information with anyone else without your consent.

The contact form is delivered to us by Resend, an email service that transmits your message to our inbox on our behalf. Your details are used only to send and deliver that message. To reduce spam we use a hidden field and a timing check; we do not use a third-party CAPTCHA and set no tracking cookies on the form.

If the lawful basis on which we process your personal information changes, we will update this policy to reflect the new basis. We will stop processing your personal information where the lawful basis for it no longer applies.

Cookies and local storage

We do not use cookies to track you, and we set no analytics or advertising cookies. Our analytics are cookieless: GoatCounter stores nothing in your browser, by cookie, local storage, or any other means. Because we set no non-essential cookies, we do not need to ask for your consent under PECR.

The one thing we store is your choice of light or dark theme, kept in your browser's local storage on your own device. It never leaves your device, we cannot see it, and clearing your browser storage removes it.
